ROBOTICS WORKSHOP AT DPS TAPI


In accordance with our belief that learning should be hands-on and enjoyable as well as applicable in the real world, we have authorised Edubotix to organise a workshop on Robotics at DPS Tapi for all of you from Classes III-VIII. The students of Classes III-V will have a beginners’ level workshop for 2 days while the students from Classes VI-VIII will have a more advanced level workshop for 3 days.

Since these will be all-day workshops, I do hope that you will opt to join the workshop and learn something new and challenging. This will be a brain-positive exercise. If you decide instead, to opt out and sit at home for these 2-3 days, then you only can decide whether you will be using your time in an equally brain-positive way.  After you have participated in these workshops, then based on your feedback, I will be able to decide whether to organise more such workshops.

1.      ROBO START (For  CLASSES III-V)

  • Dates: 20-21 December 2012 (2 Days)
  • Timing: 8.30 am to 1.30 pm
  • INR 1250/- per student for the workshop – With a take home Kit.
  • INR 999/- per student for the workshop – Without a take home Kit.

Details of Robotic Kit Provided

  • Two High Torque 100 RPM Motors
  • Robot Controller board
  • Laser cut Hybrid Chassis
  • Two Antiskid grip coated Track Wheels
  • Battery with Connector
  • Line following Sensors
  • Ambient Light Sensors

2.      AUTONOMOUS (For CLASSES VI-VIII)

  • Dates: 22-24 December 2012 (3 Days)
  • Timing: 8.30 am to 1.30 pm
  • INR 4000/- per student for the workshop – With a take home Kit.
  • INR 2000/- per student for the workshop – Without a take home Kit.

  • 2 Plastic – Rubber Coated Wheels
  • 1 Metallic Castor Wheel
  • ATMGA-16 Based – Robot Controller Board with Motor Driver and PWM Speed Control
  • Parallel Port – Robotic Board Programmer
  • 6 V battery Pack
  • 1 Light Sensors
  • 1 Obstacle Avoiding Sensor
  • 1 Line Following Sensor
  • Chassis Material
  • Adhesives – Connecting Wires
