Dear Parents of Pre-Nursery to Class II
Dressing up your child creatively need not be very troublesome or expensive as I mentioned in my earlier post on Dressing Up Differently.
If I was a busy mum/dad/grandparent without much confidence in my own creativity, I could still be creative without too much trouble.
Even the school uniform can be ‘modified’ with accessories that can be removed easily.
What does the Monsoon bring to mind?
- Waterlogged cars
- Wading through watery streets
Colour pictures of all the three above items are available in your daily newspapers and in magazines.
I would cut out a few, paste them on chart paper and pin them on the uniform as brooches, or even make headbands or T-shirt pin-ups.
This wouldn’t cost anything, take very little time to make, and wouldn’t disturb the child’s activities even if worn all day.
In addition, a few lines of preparation – descriptive or humorous – about a recent very rainy experience.
I am sure that there are many parents out there, who could improve on this idea ten times more!
But – did you??? Most of you couldn’t think beyond jeans, T-shirts and frocks (with very few exceptions).
Better luck on the next Fancy Dress!
