The class teachers have no doubt been recording the progress of the Maths Mela Week 2013 since its beginning on 16 December. Today, I received an invitation to Numberland and garnered a few Maths Facts of my own:
- The students appear to know the history, the theory as well as real-life applications of Maths down to the last detail
- No student is scared of Maths in Maths Mela unlike in Maths exams
- The classrooms are filled with animation and interest in Maths Mela, unlike in conventional Maths lessons
To check out the great show you missed by our superb Mathemagicians (you are privileged to be their proud parents) please click on Maths Mela 2013 for the few photographs I had time to take in the midst of joining the innumerable number games and problems invented by them. I really could not do justice to the event although it took me over 2 hours to visit just four classrooms (VI-IX). If your comments show sincere appreciation and enthusiasm, then next year, you too may be invited by our students!
