Dear Parents of Classes III-IX
We are gradually integrating Robotics with our curriculum since the last two years. This year, we are making the DPST Robotics Camp a graded project, but it is still optional. Those who do not opt to learn something new and fascinating will be set a more conventional project to do. I know that the workshop along with the kit is expensive – but probably not more than what an average family in Surat spends on a brief weekend entertainment outing. The entertainment has no lasting benefits, whereas the Robotics Camp will help your ward to acquire new skills and knowledge for the future. Please keep this in mind when you fill in the consent form. To read the details of our Robotics Camp please click on DPST-CIR-18-13.14
UPDATE (1.00 pm): Whether you decide to participate in the camp or not, please ask your ward to produce the Circular issued to them by school.
More than half of Class VI students tore up and threw away the Circular addressed to their Parents and signed by the Principal of their School.
If your ward is among these, then it is time you taught them the basics of Traditional Indian Decorum and generated a little more family enthusiasm for Learning! The act of tearing and throwing the Circular has given me the message:
- These children, though legal minors, take decisions at home, not their parents
- They have no respect for the norms of communication between home and school
